Another Massapequa Halloween

We just celebrated our fourth Massapequa Halloween.  I am sure my neighbors and Massapequa readers will agree, and if you happened upon this page for more information about this town, if you have young children (or if you don’t!), this one amazing town you will love to raise a family in!

Our elementary school hosts a Halloween parade every year. The kids all get dressed up and parade around the school.  The parents ohh and ahh and take pictures and chat about the rest of the day’s events.  It really is one of the highlights of the school year that I look forward to every year. I love the creativity of the kids and the parents, I love seeing all the kids who coordinated their costumes with their friends, the teachers who all dress in themes, our principal and vice principal dressing along with the security guards and staff.

The kids got to enjoy the parade with many of our men and women in blue and those in training as well as they were given high-fives while parading around the school.  They were given coloring books and other fun things and were later visited in their classrooms to talk about Halloween and trick or treating safety.

Many of the classes got to enjoy class parties with lots of goodies and fun.  We have the most amazing teachers and thank goodness for them, as I am sure the kids did not sit much all day long!

After school is trick or treating fun in Massapequa. Many of the families go into town (in the Village) to trick or treat at the very generous merchants in our community. Trick or treating through the streets is always fun, as we usually start out with a small group then wind up meeting friends along the way, as our group becomes bigger and bigger!

We love spending time with other families, and enjoying a dinner play-date for both the kids AND the parents was an awesome way for us to finish up our Halloween. We always have so much fun on a Massapequa Halloween!  In a few moments it will be November (how fast time is flying!), but we ended our October with tons of fun!
