2016 Town Beaches – Schedule and details – TOBAY

Town of Oyster Bay’s beautiful beaches: Tobay Beach, Centre Island, Philip B. Healey at Florence Avenue and Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park are now open for weekends and holidays. From Saturday, June 25 onward, all Town beaches will be open for the season seven days a week and will close on Labor Day, Monday September 5.

The early sale of beach stickers will continue to be available weekdays through Friday, June 24th ONLY at Tobay Beach (from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), John J. Burns Town Park (from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park (from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.). Beginning on June 25, beach stickers will be available during normal operating hours.

Beach stickers, which allow entrance to all seven Town of Oyster Bay beaches, will be available to residents at the affordable cost of $60 for the season and $20 for daily stickers. In appreciation for their service, Town residents who are military veterans or active military members, volunteer firefighters of a department within the Town, auxiliary police and members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary will get a reduced rate of $30. Senior citizens, 60 and older, who have a Town Senior Citizen Beach I.D. Card, obtainable at the Town Clerk’s Office for a one-time fee of $30 plus a $2 photo fee, will be able to obtain a beach sticker at no charge. Disabled Town residents who are receiving disability insurance benefits under the Social Security Act, as well as those who have a permanent disability as certified in writing by a physician, can obtain a free beach sticker after first securing an I.D. card at the Town Clerk’s Office for a one-time fee of $30 plus a $2 photo fee.
