Score Big for Yankee Tickets!

Last year we took the twins to their very first Yankee game.  They had a blast.  Joseph, who was still three at the time, did not go.  When the kids found out that Paul and I were going with friends to a game in June, they got very upset.  Since we had promised the older kids we’d take them to another game this season, and we had to take Joseph to his first game, I decided to look for tickets.

Six tickets to a game can be very expensive.  When I was a kid, my Dad used to take me to between 5-10 games each season.  Unfortunately today, this is no longer feasible, especially for a family of six.   But I knew we could not let our kids down.  I was on a hunt for tickets that would not cost us an arm and a leg.

I was invited to review ScoreBig.com.  I was pretty impressed with their extensive choices for not only sporting events but concerts, Broadway shows and more.  I briefly thought about purchasing tickets for Paul’s birthday to see The Jersey Boys on Broadway, but stuck with my promise to the kids.  I was able to “score” six tickets to Bat Day on June 1, a Sunday afternoon, for $160.  The tickets were valued at $35 each but I was able to score them for only $27 each.

scorebig4I was able to pick out the area I wanted to sit and set my price per ticket.  Within a few seconds, I was notified that my price was accepted, and was told that my tickets would be sent to me by early May, with plenty of time before the June 1 game.  To my surprise, I got my tickets sent by FedEx before Easter!  The tickets were exactly what I was expecting from the transaction, and we told the kids they will be going to Bat Day.  Did you hear them screaming in delight?
