Be prepared for Daylight Savings Time this weekend!

With all of the snow and ice and cold weather (cold? try FREEZING) we have gotten this winter, the beginning of Daylight Savings Time is welcomed with open arms.  The only drawback to DST is losing an hour of sleep.  Are you ready for DST?

Many people use the beginning of Daylight Savings Time to check things off of their to-do lists, such as:

  • Changing the batteries in the smoke detectors
  • Charging the fire extinguisher
  • Turning the clocks forward.
  • Starting their spring cleaning

Have you thought about also resetting your sleep clock?  Sleep Number believes that the beginning of DST is the best time to reset your sleep clock.  According to new national sleep survey from Sleep Number, over half (54 percent) of the respondents don’t feel they are getting enough sleep to be at their best...

#Bearitos Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips

Bearitos Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips 3D

Our family had the opportunity to review Bearitos Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips. I had seen the Bearitos’ logo a few times and it always stuck out in my mind because the bear is just adorable. I had seen mention of their corn chips on a number of sites as being low sodium, which is something that our family has been VERY interested in since my husband’s heart attack last year.  I’ve wanted to try Bearitos for some time now!

Last night, we tried the limited edition Bearitos Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips.  I opened the bag and shared with my husband, four kids and my mother and father-in-law.  While we finished the entire bag within a short time, we did have some mixed reviews.  For the most part, these pita chips are very good.  They have nice crunch and nice taste...

Mom Motivation

Most days we find ourselves working round the clock. As mothers (and often fathers!), we are up at the crack of dawn getting ready for the day. We prepare meals, take out everyone’s clothes, and get everybody ready for their day. Chores are endless and there are only 24 hours in a day. Working mothers have two jobs, and any parent knows that being a mother is a full time job in itself, with constant overtime and no vacation days, sick days, or personal time. But it never ends there.

When do we find the time to do everything else? How can we squeeze in appointments, birthdays, play dates, cleaning out the closets, catching up with the latest best seller, or the hundred other things on our “to-do” list? Furthermore, how do we find the time (or energy) to focus on romance an...

Please bring us back to the Breakaway! #NCL

As we are on March 1st and another snow storm has hit today, we have seen more freezing days than I can remember in past years, as far as the eye can see is covered in white mounds of snow, and I am longing for the first buds of spring, I cannot help but wish we were back on our Norwegian cruise that we enjoyed so much back in November.

You may have seen past posts or pics on social media about our trip.  Our family sailed on the NCL Breakaway out of NYC on November 9, 2014.  Our ports of call were Port Canaveral, Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau, Bahamas.  My husband and I sailed with our four kids, and I have to say this was the best trip our family has ever been on!

How I long to return to the Norwegian Breakaway!  Everything was PERFECT!  The staff was fantastic...
